The Bhakti Shastri Course is a comprehensive study program designed to provide systematic training in the foundational texts of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition. Established under the direction of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, this course aims to deepen the understanding and practice of bhakti-yoga through the careful study of four key scriptures.

The curriculum is centered around the following core texts, studied in detail along with Śrīla Prabhupāda’s translations and commentaries:

1. Bhagavad-gītā As It Is – A philosophical and practical guide to understanding Krishna's teachings on duty, devotion, and self-realization.
2. Nectar of Instruction (Upadeśāmṛta) – A concise text offering essential instructions for personal discipline, devotional service, and spiritual association.
3. Nectar of Devotion (Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu – Part One) – A systematic presentation of the science of devotional service, including its stages, moods, and characteristics.
4. Śrī Īśopaniṣad – A profound treatise that presents the personal aspect of the Absolute Truth and the principles of divine consciousness.

• Regular practice of chanting 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna mahā-mantra daily
• Observance of the four regulative principles of devotional life
• A minimum of one year of active involvement in Krishna consciousness
• A genuine desire to study and live by the teachings of the scriptures
• A recommendation letter from an ISKCON authority or temple president who knows the candidate well
